Hey everybody, I am John Fernandes. I have held different titles like husband, pastor, counselor, suicide attempt survivor, recovering addict, and more. I have practiced a life of sobriety from addiction since 2018. My wife and I have lived in different states for different reasons from both big cities to small and rural towns.

I have a BS in Psychology and a BA in Christian Studies with a minor and Worship Arts. During my undergraduate career, I was in the Honors College and inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. I went on to earn a Master of Science in Addiction Counseling and am currently in the process of completing my Master of Divinity.

I have over a decade of experience working with adolescents from newborn to emerging adulthood both in and out of the ministry context. I have served in ministry in different capacities from camp counselor, children’s intern, youth intern, young adult direction, worship team member, full-time Youth and Associate Pastor, and so much more.

I also have years of experience working in the mental health and clinical setting as a Case Manager, Counseling intern, and counselor specializing in addiction recovery.
